Where we are

The Spas, history and traditions
At about thirty kilometres from Milan, Pavia, Piacenza and Cremona, the area has a decidedly tourist-oriented vocation, greatly upheld by the renown of the Terme di Miradolo and the “Gerette” of San Colombano al Lambro thermal waters. A great number of springs, all having well-known therapeutic qualities, are also to be found scattered at the bottom of the hills.

The wine, the scenery, the cuisine, the great number of castles and monasteries , such as at San Colombano al Lambro, Sant'Angelo Lodigiano, Belgioioso, Chignolo Po, Orio Litta and the Pavia Charterhouse, let alone the welcoming nature of local inhabitants, all bear witness to a tourism directed at art and the tasting of food and wines, within a territory greatly attached to agricultural values.

These special features are highlighted at the great many festivals to celebrate nature and its products , as well as in the centuries-old tradition of agricultural exhibitions. The Cherry and Pea Festivals are held in spring, while the Grape Festival and the “Guidardone” Palio are held in September.
